Unwind With Strawberry Alarm Clock (http://www.unwindwithsac.com/) is an informational site about the psych/pop group Strawberry Alarm Clock, who had a hit in 1967 with "Incense And Peppermints" and who then released four albums and several singles. Most of this later work is unknown to the general public, who only remember the band's #1 first single — if anything.
But I am a big Strawberry Alarm Clock fan, and think the band deserves a better reputation and exposure to more fans. SAC was a very multi-dimensional band, with some strange ideas and an experimental musical approach. They belong in the company of such psychedelic legends as the Seeds, Electric Prunes, Love, etc. So, on this site are dozens of articles covering each of the band's albums, their songs, and related projects. Most pages have a comments section, and you are encouraged to leave comments, particularly for songs and albums you have heard and can offer your own opinion about.
Every article page on UnwindWithSAC.com has a section of related CDs, LPs and singles for sale, as well as a Comments section and relevant links to other pages on the site.
UnwindWithSAC.com's name comes from two songs, one an instrumental and one almost an instrumental: "Pass Time With The SAC" and "Unwind With The Clock", both from the band's 1967 album Incense And Peppermints. We are not officially endorsed by or otherwise related to the band; the Clock's official website is here.
The store
We list Strawberry Alarm Clock CDs, LPs, related videos and other relevant stuff in our Strawberry Alarm Clock store. We try to list interesting things that SAC fans — or someone wanting to know more about the band's music — will appreciate. When someone clicks one of the product links and makes a purchase on a vendor's site, we get a small commission. It's our primary way of financing this site, and pays for the hosting and name registration and the work that goes into maintenance and writing UnwindWithSAC.com.
eBay
We list a lot of things for sale on eBay, which always has a few hundred nice Strawberry Alarm Clock things for sale including a lot of neat SAC vinyl. Amazon
We also list several things for sale on Amazon, which like eBay include vinyl and videos like the two movies that Strawberry Alarm Clock contributed to (and their soundtrack albums). These items are updated as new ones appear and old copies are sold off. We find items for sale not only by Amazon itself but by the vast third-party marketplace which gives a much larger selection of SAC items for sale. As with eBay, buying on Amazon is safe, though UnwindWithSAC.com can not vouch for the descriptions or actions of any seller.
Store listings are updated on a continual basis throughout the day, every day, though there may be some lag time between various categories (i.e., a copy of Wake Up.. It's Tomorrow on vinyl for sale on eBay might show up in that album's section of our store, but not in the "All eBay items" section where you might expect it.) This is normal and will resolve itself within a few hours at the most.
